Professional Abstract
Mr. Hawke is regularly engaged by attorneys, corporations and private individuals to collect and analyze electronic evidence or to provide computer technology expert witness services. With over twenty-six years of investigative experience as a law enforcement agent and licensed professional detective, he has directed hundreds of criminal and civil investigations involving advanced technologies. He is a respected leader in the computer forensics industry that has presented for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, the United States Attorney’s Office and the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy. Additionally, he has served as a consultant to the National White Collar Crime Training Partnership in development of a national computer forensic training course of study.
Mr. Hawke is a founding member and frequent Ohio chapter High Technology Crime Investigation Association officer. He has served this organization as President, First Vice President and Secretary. He regularly volunteers his time to HTCIA in order to assist with the planning and delivery of training conferences and membership meetings.
Prior to joining Binary Intelligence in a full-time capacity, Mr. Hawke served as a Special Agent with the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation. Here he was assigned to the Computer Crimes Unit from its inception in 1997 through 2009. In this role he assisted local, state and federal law enforcement agencies by leading technical investigations and providing advanced digital evidence analyses. He also provided expert witness testimony at trial for several felony criminal cases.
