Standard Fee Schedule and Terms

Fees for most engagements are calculated on a time and materials basis. Services are billed in 15 minute increments. Materials may include necessary storage media, non-standard cables or adapters and specialized hardware/software specific to case. Other reimbursable expenses include shipping charges, third-party services and travel expenses. Expenses are billed at cost.

 Initial Telephone/Email Consultation  $ FREE
 Standard Rate (per hour, plus expenses)   $ 250.
 Travel Rate (per hour, portal to portal, plus expenses)  $ 125.
 Expert Witness Listing Fee* (non-refundable, applied to case)  $ 2,000.
 Deposition (per hour, 4 hour min., 3 day notice of cancellation)  $ 250.
 Hearing, Arbitration, Mediation (per hour, 4 hour min., 3 day notice of cancellation)           $ 250.
 Trial (per day, 3 day notice of cancellation)  $ 2,000.
 Retainer (33% of estimated engagement fee, $1000 minimum)  $ 1,000.+

*Permission to list, cite or use the name of any Binary Intelligence consultant, formally or informally, in connection with a case is withheld until a signed services contract and applicable retainer are received. Use of a consultant's name constitutes an acceptance of these terms and the expert witness listing fee of $2,000.
 

Flat Fee Engagements

We also offer fixed priced services for some very common corporate Employee Relations/HR matters and domestic situations. Most of these flat fee options range from $500 to $2500. Call us and we’ll let you know if these apply to your case.
