Position: Digital Forensic Examiner/Trainer

Location: Franklin, Ohio (Cincinnati / Dayton Area)

Job Description: Binary Intelligence is currently accepting applications for a Digital Forensic Examiner/Trainer. This position will support public and private sector clients with the collection, preservation, analysis, and presentation of digital evidence. They will also be responsible for delivering classroom instruction on topics related to advanced mobile device forensics.

Primary duties include:

– Conduct conventional forensic acquisitions and analyses of electronic devices including cell phones, tablets, computers, and associated storage media

– Complete advanced mobile device physical memory acquisitions using  JTAG, Chip-Off, and/or Direct eMMC techniques (previous experience with these skills not required)

– Perform manual recovery of mobile device user data records (SMS, Call Logs, etc.) for devices that are not supported for parsing with commercial forensic software

– Compose detailed examination reports, present findings, and  provide testimony as required

– Design and develop training curriculum and presentations

– Deliver classroom instruction and presentation material

Preferred Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree or commensurate education/experience in a relevant technical/scientific field

– Minimum of 3 years’ experience conducting digital forensic investigations, utilizing industry standard forensic tools and techniques

– Experience in the design and delivery of technical training

– Experience with computer and mobile device operating systems (Windows, Linux, OSX, IOS, Android, BREW, etc.)

– Experience with common computer and mobile device file-systems

– Knowledge/experience with cell phone/mobile device exploits (rooting, IOS jailbreaking, bootloader)

– Knowledge/experience with mobile device flasher boxes and dongles

– Experience with code development and Python scripting
